Wednesday, October 4th is this year's Mid-Autumn Festival (中秋节 in Chinese), which is on the 15th day of August in the Chinese Lunar Calendar. We invite you to celebrate the Moon Festival with us at Tea Drunk!
Traditionally this is a holiday where all family members go back home for a festive meal and celebrate strong family bonds. Circles and round shapes are cherished to symbolize unity and all around happiness. This includes eating delicious moon cakes and appreciating the full moon. We sing poetry to praise the beautiful full moon and spend time with family and friends. At Tea Drunk, we are continuing this tradition with a poetry reading party on the evening of Wednesday, October 4th 2017, starting at 6:30pm.
